Local Tree Care You Can Count On in Richmond
We're based right next door in Eaton, OH, and we've spent 23 years taking care of trees for homeowners and businesses across Richmond and the surrounding neighborhoods. From single hazard removals to full property cleanups, we bring the right crew, the right gear, and a fair, written estimate before we start.
Licensed, bonded, and fully insured, and locally owned, not a national franchise. When you call us, you get our crew, our equipment, and our reputation on the line.
Richmond is fifteen miles west of Eaton across the Indiana line, and it is one of the busiest territories we work. Wayne County has some of the finest old tree stock in the region, and it also has some of the oldest, which is exactly why the phone rings. The Starr and Reeveston historic districts are full of century-old oaks, sugar maples, and tulip poplars standing over slate roofs, wrought iron, and brick drives. There is rarely room to fell anything, so those removals are climbed and rigged in sections with everything lowered on ropes.
Along East Main Street and around Glen Miller Park the street trees are large and close to the curb, which makes clearance pruning and deadwood removal a constant need. In the Depot District the lots are commercial and tight, and we work around parking, foot traffic, and delivery access, often early in the morning before businesses open.
The Whitewater Gorge corridor is its own category. Trees on those slopes lose root purchase as the bank erodes, lean progressively year over year, and eventually come down on their own schedule. We look at lean, root-plate heave, and soil cracking on every gorge-side property before quoting, because a tree that looks stable in July can be the first one over in a February thaw.
Newer neighborhoods on the north and east sides bring the opposite problem, fast-growing silver maple and Bradford pear planted thirty years ago that are now splitting at weak unions. Those we can often save with structural pruning if we get to them before the split runs.
We are licensed, bonded, and fully insured for work in Indiana, we know Richmond's right-of-way rules, and every estimate is free and in writing. For Wayne County storm calls, we answer 24/7 and are close enough to be on site quickly.
